Wow, it's been awhile! I may be going back and removing my old posts here in the interest of reclaiming it as a personal blog space. A lot of my views have changed significantly since they were written! I wrote up a response to a question someone asked about how experiences change for a person who goes through the "Ugly Duckling" scenario, and figured I would share it here in order to reach a wider audience.

The Spirit of Mythic
As some of you may know, I'm a part of an online community revolving around the hardest possible settings in the Halo games, what we fans have coined "Mythic" difficulty. Capture the Flag
So, I like to write sometimes, and I don't just mean blog posts. A while ago, I wrote a short story set in the Halo 3 multiplayer universe. Technically, yeah it's fanfiction, but you're not going to find some crazy mashup of various well-known characters from multiple universes, nor any "classy" material featuring tentacles. What you will find (I hope!) is an entertaining glimpse into the lives of our multiplayer avatars. If interest is high enough, I may follow up with additional Halo stories.

I did not come up with this myself. I no longer have the original link, but I make no claim for credit.

I, Gamer.
Another recycled facebook note today, my time is pretty limited right now. Plus, most of my notes would be more at home here. I have modified this slightly from the original, as there were some points I missed before.
